MANCHESTER — Ben White, called up from High-A Dunedin on Tuesday, permitted three runs over 6 1/3 innings, lifting the New Hampshire Fisher Cats to a 6-4 victory over the Harrisburg Senators before 4,463 fans at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
Brad Glenn homered twice, his seventh and eighth homers of the season, as New Hampshire scored two runs in the first and third innings and held on for the victory. Glenn went 3-for-4 with four runs batted in.
Kevin Nolan doubled and scored on Glenn’s double in the first inning, and K.C. Hobson singled home Glenn.
The duo of Nolan and Glenn struck again in the second. Nolan singled off Senators starter Paolo Espino, then trotted home on Glenn’s homer.
Top Washington Nationals prospect Drew Vettleson hit a solo homer in the fourth. Michael Crouse tripled for the Fisher Cats in the fourth and scored on Derrick Chung’s single.
White was pulled in the seventh after Harrisburg loaded the bases. Richard Bleier came in relief, allowing the Senators to score two runs before being pulled. Dustin Antolin closed out the inning.
Glenn hit his second homer in the eighth.
Gregory Infante pitched the ninth for his 21st save.
The teams play again tonight at 6:35 p.m.
