Laconia accident results in minor injuries for motorcyclist

LACONIA - On Saturday, the Laconia police responded to an accident on Tower St. involving a vehcile and motorcycle. Lawrence T. Stanley, 55, of Newton, was traveling on Tower St. when his motorcycle was struck on the right side, and he was ejected off the bike, landing on his back.

Robert P. Cox, 28, of Windham, was on Warner Ave., crossing Tower St. when his truck collided into Stanley's motorcycle.

Cox vehicle received minor damage to the front end, but was driveable.

Stanley's motorcycle received extensive front end and right side damage. Stanley's motorcycle was towed from the scene.

Cox had no injuries.

Stanley was transported by to Lakes Region General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries to his right leg, back and ribs. Stanley was wearing a helmet.
