Salem residents can register to vote Tuesday night at municipal office
SALEM — Salem residents who will be 18 by Sept. 9 can register to vote tonight when the Registrars of the Checklist meet from 7 to 8 p.m. in the lower level of the municipal office building.
A picture identification and proof of domicile is required. A driver’s license is acceptable. Naturalized citizens must show a passport or documented citizenship papers.
After this session, no new additions or corrections to the current data can be made until the state primary on Sept. 9.
Registered voters who are already registered in a party may not change their affiliation at this session and must take the ballot of the party they are registered in on primary day.
