Motorcyclist suffers minor injuries in Saturday crash in Laconia

LACONIA — On Saturday, Laconia police responded to an accident on Tower Street involving a vehicle and motorcycle. Lawrence T. Stanley, 55, of Newton, was traveling on Tower Street when his motorcycle was struck on the right side, and he was thrown from the bike, landing on his back.

Robert P. Cox, 28, of Windham, was on Warner Avenue, crossing Tower Street when his truck collided with Stanley’s motorcycle.

Cox’ vehicle received minor damage to the front end, but was drivable.

Stanley’s motorcycle suffered extensive front end and right side damage. Stanley’s motorcycle was towed from the scene.

Cox had no injuries.

Stanley was taken to Lakes Region General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries to his right leg, back and ribs. Stanley was wearing a helmet.
