Arena Concerts to rock the big screen at the Capitol Center

Aerosmith: Rock for the Rising Sun

If you feel like summer just passed you by and you missed all the big concerts either because they were too expensive or they just didn't fit your schedule, there is a way you can make it up.

Sort of.

Throughout the month of September, the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord is giving music lovers a second chance to see some big acts that may or may not have toured this summer.  That's right, you get a do-over, a chance to see a live concert, on the big screen, in full HD and surround sound.

Owen DeFrancesco, Marketing Manager of the Capitol Center for the Arts says, "These films are a ‘best seat in the house’ experience for our audiences and often afford a behind the scenes view that you can’t get any other way."

He explains, "With our large screen and surround sound, the experience is truly immersive, bringing it beyond the experience you can get in your living room."

The shows that are lined up for September include "Super Duper Alice Cooper" on September 8, "Rolling Stones: Sweet Summer Sun" on September 15, "Aerosmith: Rock for the Rising Sun" on September 22 and "Lamb of God: As the Palaces Burn" on September 29.

Super Duper Alice Cooper

Last year, films included "Hendrix 70: Live at Woodstock," "Paul McCartney and Wings: Rockshow," "The Rolling Stones: Some Girls (Texas 1978)" and "Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day."

As to how the concert films were selected, Owen said, "The specific films we decided upon are out of desire to offer a range of concerts that would appeal to the widest audience possible, from classic rock fans to metal lovers. In addition, these presentations offer a chance for NH residents to experience top-tier performances that may not appear in the state live."

True.  When was the last time you saw the Rolling Stones perform in the Granite State?

Shows are $15 for adults, $12 for students.  For more information or to buy tickets, call 603-225-1111 or visit http://www.ccanh.com.
