Nguyen's two goals help Revs extend winning streak to three
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – A pair of second-half goals from Lee Nguyen lifted the New England Revolution over Sporting Kansas City, 3-1, on Wednesday night at Gillette Stadium.
The Revs claimed their second come-from-behind victory of the season after falling behind 1-0 in the ninth minute.
U.S. national team member Jermaine Jones made his first start for New England (11-12-3) and played 45 minutes, notching an assist on Teal Bunbury's tying goal in the 45th minute.
Nguyen scored both early and late in the second half as the Revolution extended its unbeaten streak to four games, going 3-0-1 in that time.
The Revolution return to action on Sunday when they host the Chicago Fire at 7 p.m. at Gillette Stadium.
