Manchester district schools will be closed Tuesday for election day
MANCHESTER — District schools will not be holding classes on Tuesday, Sept. 9, the day of the primary election.
The day will serve as a professional development day for teachers, as has been the case in past elections.
Numerous city schools serve as polling places, and the elections have been seen as too disruptive to hold classes at the same time. Students are also to get a day off in November on the day of the general election.
