Obama talks: As more Americans die
The day after the pigs who murdered James Foley released a video showing their murder of a second American journalist, Steven Sotloff, President Obama outlined his thoughts for how the United States must deal with this rising threat.
“We know that if we are joined by the international community, we can continue to shrink ISILl’s sphere of influence, its effectiveness, its financing, its military capabilities to the point where it is a manageable problem,” he said. “And the question is going to be making sure we’ve got the right strategy but also making sure we’ve got the international will to do it.”
They are beheading whatever American they can get their hands on, and he is talking loftily about bringing “the international community” together and then developing “the right strategy.”
One of the Republican knocks on John Kerry in 2004 was that he would consult with “the international community” before acting to defend the United States of America. Obama is making Kerry look bold and decisive. While our adversaries march, Obama keeps talking.
And what does he consider a “manageable” problem? An adversary that beheads only one American per month? We have a resolute enemy and an irresolute President. The world watches as U.S. power, prestige and influence shrink.
