Manchester's Davies 'Man of the Match' as Revs run win streak to five on Saturday

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Lee Nguyen scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 25th minute off a header from Manchester native Charlie Davies as the New England Revolution rallied to top the Montreal Impact, 2-1, on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium.

The goal was Nguyen’s team-leading 13th of the season, and his league-leading seventh game-winner this year.

Calum Mallace scored in the 13th minute to give Montreal a 1-0 lead.

Kelyn Rowe equalized for New England in the 23rd minute before Nguyen struck two minutes later.

Davies, who had four shots on goal and an assist, was named the "Santander Man of the Match" for the Revs.

New England has won their last five games, and is unbeaten in its last six, going 5-0-1. The Revs now sit alone in third place in the Eastern Conference, five points back of first-place D.C. United.

Next, the Revs travel to Columbus to face the Crew on Saturday. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
