WINDHAM — Town officials are teaming up with the Southern New Hampshire Planning Commission in their efforts to make Windham more welcoming to businesses.

From now through Dec. 12, members of the town’s community development department are encouraging local businesses and nonprofits to participate in a broadband survey.

Community Development Director Laura Scott said the survey’s results would help determine the current and anticipate needs of the local business community.

Scott said the input of all Windham-based organizations would play an important role in the process, from home-based businesses to large-scale nonprofits.

Participants will be asked if they feel their current broadband service is adequate, if they need faster speeds and if they have or need a back-up connection in the event of a power outage.

Those taking part in the survey may test their broadband speed online by visiting www.speedtest.net.

Scott said all survey participants are being asked to respond to her via email by noontime on Dec. 12.
