U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., announced Tuesday that Ben Sparks will be campaign manager for her 2016 re-election committee.

Ayotte said Sparks, who most recently led Sen. Dan Sullivan’s election, would be based in Manchester and oversee all political operations and staff.

He previously was communications director of the New Jersey Republican Party, and the Wisconsin communications director for Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign. In 2011, he was spokesman for the Wisconsin GOP during Gov. Scott Walker’s recall election.

In her announcement, Ayotte called Sparks a “battled-tested manager” who would lead her campaign team.
