Plow truck fire extinguished in Nashua

March 03. 2015 7:56AM

NASHUA — Firefighters quickly extinguished a truck fire Monday night inside a three-story warehouse on Bridge Street.

Smoke was showing from the 42-50 Bridge St. building, which houses a truck repair shop and kitchen cabinet outlet, when fire crews arrived after being called just after 10:30 p.m.

The fire was in the engine compartment of a plow truck parked in the rear garage area.

Firefighters forced their way through double overhead doors to put out the fire. The building's sprinkler system worked, which kept the fire in check.

Some of the firefighting operations were delayed as crews encountered broken hydrants due to plow operations and a buried water shut off, fire officials said.

The fire is under investigation by the city Fire Marshal's Office.
