MILTON — A Maine resident has been charged with aggravated drunken driving and narcotic possession, after a Friday night accident that left both lanes of Route 16 blocked, New Hampshire State Police said.
Police said Mariann Perna, 33, of Biddeford suffered a head injury in the accident and received treatment at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
Police said Perna was driving northbound after 8 p.m., lost control of a 1999 Buick Century, rolled the car over and returned it to the roadway. The car came to rest in the middle of the road, blocking both lanes of travel.
Perna was also charged with driving after suspension.
