Why I'm running for the NH House

January 16. 2016 7:03PM

To the Editor: My name is Alexandria Knox, and I am a student at Southern New Hampshire University and I am studying to dedicate my life to helping our elected leaders and serving the people.

I am running for the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Manchester in Ward 10 because I believe we need a positive change in Concord.

Too many of our elected officials have lost the ability to truly listen and work together to get things done for the people. Labels are getting in the way of solving problems and coming up with real solutions. I am a Republican committed to solid conservative principles while ensuring those that need help are treated with respect and compassion.

I am inspired by our elected leaders, and want to serve my constituents and give back to my community. We all face challenges every day, and I believe we can overcome these challenges by working together in a respectful way and holding our elected officials accountable. I face the challenge of being born without sight, but my vision is clear for the people of our state. That vision is opportunity, prosperity and government accountability where all constituents are heard and represented. I am ready to serve you and would be honored to earn your vote.
