NH Business Newsmakers: Sullivan joins Provident board

PORTSMOUTH — Arthur Sullivan joined the board of directors of the Provident Bank. The bank also announced the election of John Bosen, who will serve as board chairman. Bosen succeeds Charlie Cullen, who has served on the board since 1998.
Sullivan is a principal partner of Brady Sullivan Properties, based in Manchester, and is a 37-year commercial and real estate industry veteran. Under his leadership, Brady Sullivan has procured and managed a diverse portfolio of over 4 million square feet of mill, office and industrial space, over 2,000 residential units and over 5,000 condominium conversions throughout New England and Florida. The Provident Bank also announced at its annual meeting that its 2015 total assets grew $84 million to $743 million — up more than 12 percent from 2014. Gross loans increased $62 million for that period, and total deposits were up $40 million, the bank said.
Baker, Dougherty admitted to NH bar
MANCHESTER — Robert E. Baker and Kara E. Dougherty of the law firm of McLane Middleton were admitted to the New Hampshire State Bar. Both are associates in the firm’s corporate department.
Hostrop joins Wilcox & Barton
CONCORD — Frederick “Fritz” Hostrop joined Wilcox & Barton Inc. as senior engineer upon his return from Tokyo, Japan.
He will be working on environmental remediation and regulatory compliance issues with clients of the company, which has offices in Masschusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Hawaii.

SymQuest appoints chief operating officer

Inc., and regionally based IT and document sales and service provider, appointed Meg Fleming chief operating officer. Jimenez joins TFMoran
BEDFORD — Adam Jimenez joined TFMoran’s Landscape Architecture Department as an assistant land planner. He previously was employed at a local company designing and installing hardscapes and softscapes for commercial and residential applications.
Webb Joins MillRiver as VP
CONCORD — Brian Webb joined MillRiver Wealth Management as vice president, team leader. He oversees MillRiver’s advisory team, including employees based in Concord, Laconia and Meredith. Prior to joining MillRiver, Webb spent more than 10 years in senior management positions at Citizens and MassMutual Financial Groups.
Provident Bank promotes Hendgen
PORTSMOUTH — The Provident Bank promoted Valerie Hendgen to assistant vice president, business development officer. Hendgen joined the bank in 2007 as a part-time teller. Her most recent position was assistant vice president, relationship officer.
