The New Hampshire Farm and Forest Expo is designed to bring together farming and forestry communities, and give the public a glimpse into these industries.

MANCHESTER — The 2017 New Hampshire Farm and Forest Expo will take place Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel/Center of New Hampshire, 700 Elm St.

The expo is designed to bring together farming and forestry communities to share ideas and views, and to give the public a glimpse into these industries and their impact on life in New Hampshire.

The nonprofit expo first was held in 1984, and it attracts more than 5,500 residents each year, according to organizers.

There will be free workshops and programs, plus a large trade show with 100 exhibitors featuring products, equipment and food, most of which is produced in New Hampshire or New England.

A children’s area will include hands-on activities, and there will be farm animals and a winter farmers market.
