Ossipee man found with fentanyl, cocaine last May pleads guilty to fentanyl charge
CONCORD — An Ossipee man pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute fentanyl.
Jeffrey Lamarche, 39, faces a sentencing hearing in U.S. District Court May 31 at 10 a.m.
The arrest came after a New Hampshire State Police trooper stopped a vehicle on the Exit 4 ramp off Interstate 95 last May 24 in which Lamarche was a passenger.
During a consensual search, the trooper recovered from Lamarche nearly 45 grams of fentanyl and almost 6 grams of cocaine.
“Fentanyl is responsible for the vast majority of overdoses deaths in New Hampshire,” said U.S. Attorney Emily Gray Rice.
“My office will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to prosecute individuals who are responsible for distributing this deadly drug.”
Assistant U.S. Attorney Georgiana L. Konesky is prosecuting the case.
