School bus damaged in Marlow accident; nobody hurt

MARLOW — No one was injured early Thursday morning when a school bus carrying 19 students was in an accident with a car at Route 123 and Telephone Road, state police said.

According to a release, Dylan B. Martin, 18, of Greenfield, was driving a Dodge Dakota west on Route 123 when he slid across the road while trying to make a sharp turn, and hit a First Student school bus about 6:50 a.m. The bus, driven by James French, 67, of Keene, was taking students to Keene middle and high schools, police said.

The front ends of both vehicles were damaged. The school bus could not be driven because the fender was pushed into a wheel, police said. Students were removed from the bus and taken to school either by their parents, or by another bus that was sent, police said.
