NH Business Newsreel: BIA to host legislative forum in Concord

CONCORD — The Business and Industry Association annual Croissants and Crossover legislative forum on April 7 will feature a panel political observers and reporters discussing the first half of the 2017 session.

The event will be held 7:45 to 9:30 a.m. at the Grappone Conference Center. It’s hosted by the BIA in partnership with Concord Chamber of Commerce, New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association, New Hamsphire Center for Nonprofits, New Hampshire Lodging and Restaurant Association, and New Futures.

Panelists include:

• Jeff Feingold, New Hampshire Business Review

• Allie Morris, Concord Monitor

• Dean Spiliotes, Southern New Hampshire University

• David Solomon, New Hampshire Union Leader

There is a cost of $35 for BIA members, Capitol Connect, and Concord Chamber of Commerce, NHADA, NH Center for Nonprofits, NHLRA, and New Futures members and $49 for others to attend the breakfast.

Plummer to speak at CEO event

DURHAM — Renee Plummer, vice president of Two International Group, will speak at the University of New Hampshire CEO Forum on Thursday.

Plummer has been the driving force in transforming Pease Air Force Base into a flourishing business complex. The program begins at 8 a.m. in Huddleston Hall and includes breakfast.

Founded in 1997, Two International is one of the largest independently owned real estate development firms in New Hampshire.

During the past 18 years, Two International has built almost 1 million rentable square feet and developed over 120 acres within the Pease International Tradeport site as well as buildings in downtown Portsmouth. 

Celebrating its 20th year, the UNH CEO Forum is an outreach program of the UNH Paul College of Business and Economics serving exclusively CEOs, presidents, and senior managers of companies in northern New England. This event is free to members and $49 for first-time attendees.
