Not impressed so far

March 20. 2017 1:32AM

To the Editor: I listened intently to the commander in chief, in hopes for some substance, but, alas, promises but no specifics. The wall won’t go away, and immigration reform seems a distant vision.

President Trump claims credit for jobs he didn’t create and for bringing NATO allies to bear, but all he has really done is put plans in play to trash our environment, and ban Muslims from immigrating. Repealing the ACA is a crisis for poorer Americans, as evidenced by many town halls, and proposed tax cuts do little to help them. I do endorse the infrastructure rebuilding, but not sure how he plans to pay for it. How about, God forbid, raising the gas tax a few cents? No chance of that, I suppose.

Anyway, I’m not impressed thus far, either by him, or his Republican supporters who lack the courage (except for McCain, Graham, and Issa) to speak up. He needs to get rid of Miller and Bannon, stop tweeting, and accept responsibility for his mistakes.
