Trenton's eighth-inning surge tops Fisher Cats

Trenton scored four runs in the eighth inning to post a 5-1 Eastern League win against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats before 3,414 fans at Arm & Hammer Park Tuesday. The loss was the second straight for New Hampshire (5-6) after sweeping Hartford in three games to begin their road trip.

New Hampshire scored its lone run in the second inning to take the early lead. Harold Ramirez walked and later scored on a double by Tim Lopes, who had two hits. Anthony Alford had two hits in three at-bats and leads the Eastern League with a .514 (18-for-35) batting average.

Connor Greene gets the start today for the Fishers Cats in a 7 p.m. encounter against the 7-4 Thunder.
