Jaffrey man dies in motorcycle crash

JAFFREY – A 27-year-old local man died in a motorcycle crash on Route 202 Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Phillip P. Bennett, 27, was identified as the motorcyclist by police Wednesday morning.

Emergency workers were called to Route 202 near Ridgecrest Road at 12:10 p.m. and found Bennett dead.

Bennet was traveling south on Route 202 between Hillcrest Road and Ridgecrest Road when the crash occurred, police said.

Bennett lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a guardrail, police said. The motorcycle then hit another vehicle, police said in a release.

Police said the cause of the crash is being investigated.
