PELHAM — A week-long investigation led to the arrest of two men on felony drug charges Thursday, police said.
Thomas L. Reagan, 27, of Pelham, was arrested on three charges of sale of heroin, with additional carges pending, and Sean M. Trudel, 39 of Manchester was charged with possession of fentanyl after a raid at a Pineridge Road home, police said.
According to a release, detectives learned last week that heroin sales allegedly were being made from the home, and believed fentanyl might have been involved. During Thursday’s search, officers found unpackaged white powder that Reagan identified as fentanyl, police said.
Officers found Trudel outside, police said, where he allegedly tried to swallow drugs as the officers approached.
Because Reagan had said the powder was fentanyl, officers donned hazmat gear to remove it, according to police.
Reagan was being held on $10,000 cash bail and is scheduled for arraignment in Salem circuit court on Saturday. Trudel was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Salem circuit court on Aug. 28.
