Two hurt in collision between car, motorcycle in Temple

TEMPLE — The collision of a car and motorcycle on Route 101 in Temple on Tuesday afternoon left two riders on the bike with serious injuries.

Regional dispatchers said the accident near the intersection of Route 101 and Powers Road happened just before 4:30 p.m. when the motorcycle driver went over the center line and struck the car.

The two riding on the bike had to be airlifted by helicopter to area hospitals, officials said.

No one in the car was injured; the crash remains under investigation.
