Hooksett man finishes Marine Corps training

Pfc. Ross S. Leger, basic training graduate 

Pfc. Ross S. Leger, 19, of Hooksett graduated Aug. 18 from U.S. Marine Corps boot camp at Parris Island, S.C.

Leger, son of Joe and Mary Leger, successfully completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island as one of 55 recruits in training Platoon 2060.

Also a full-time student in the Manchester Community College Welding Degree Program, Leger will attend the following Marine Corps training upon completion of the MCC program: military combat training at Camp Geiger, Jacksonville, N.C., and motor transport occupational training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

He will be a USMC reservist at Fort Devens, Mass.
