Police: Two pickup drivers face DWI charges after crash

HOOKSETT — Two men were charged with driving while intoxicated Sunday night after driving off Auburn Road, police said.
According to a release, police were called to the area of 68 Auburn Road at 11:20 p.m. to investigate a report of a rollover crash and another of two pickups racing and driving on the wrong side of the road.
Officers found one truck that had rolled over and another in a pond. The drivers, Timothy Gagne, 33, of Manchester, and Thomas Pepin, 32, of Hooksett, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, police said.
Pepin failed a field sobriety test and was arrested, police said, while Gagne was arrested and then taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Pepin was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Hooksett circuit court Sept. 20.
Gagne, who was charged with aggravated DWI, was release at the hospital on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Merrimack County Superior Court Sept. 28.
