College Football: UNH 9th/11th in polls

The University of New Hampshire football team, 2-0 after beating FBS member Georgia Southern on Saturday, moved up in the national polls released on Monday.

The Wildcats moved from 12th to ninth in the STATS FCS Poll and jumped from 12th to 11th in the FCS Coaches Poll.

UNH junior end Jae'Wuan Horton was named CAA co-Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Horton recorded six tackles, including a sack, and two quarterback hurries in the Wildcats' 22-12 win over Georgia Southern in Birmingham, Ala. It was the program's first win over an FBS school since 2009.

UNH visits Holy Cross on Saturday at 1 p.m.
