Thanks to a thief

September 12. 2017 12:32AM

To the Editor: An awesome day at Manchester’s Cruising Downtown 2017 was ruined by someone who stole five of my dash plaques from my display table in front of my 1940 Ford Moonshiner car. These plaques are trophies to all classic car owners who show their cars to the public for free.

The plaques were special to me because I am battling cancer, and every show I attend is special. They show my support to all the sponsors such as the Rotary Clubs who do an awesome job providing for those in need through these great car shows and other events they put on. My plaques cannot be replaced. They were dated and included the event location. I hope whoever stole them can find some kind of enjoyment with them like I did.

Thank you to the Rotary Clubs and sponsors who put on awesome shows year after year. I hope to be there next year. God bless all of you and may He keep you safe, happy, and healthy.

Plaques missing: 2015 Cruisin Downtown Manchester My Classic Car Show; 2015 Lakes Region Rotary Car Show; 2016 Bow Rotary Show; 2017 Alton Old Home Day Car Show; 2017 Cruisin Downtown Manchester.
