Methuen man pleads guilty to making child porn with NH boy

CONCORD - A Methuen, Mass. man may spend 17 years in a federal prison for producing child pornography under a plea agreement announced Wednesday.
According to acting U.S. Attorney John J. Farley, Matthew Adey, 47, met a 14-year-old Londonderry boy in an online chat group.
“The defendant, aware of the child's age, requested a photograph of the child engaging in sexually explicit conduct, which the child took and sent to the defendant.”
But Adey didn't stop there, according to investigators, he traveled to the child's New Hampshire home in March to have sex with the boy multiple times.
According to the plea deal, Adey will be subject to 10 years of supervised released when he gets out of prison and will have to register as a sex offender. A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for December 21, 2017.
The investigation included participation from Londonderry Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, Homeland Security, Massachusetts Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
