Nashua man charged in Sunday thefts from cars

NASHUA - A Lake Street man was arrested Sunday afternoon, charged with two felony counts of receiving stolen property, after police accused him of several thefts from unlocked motor vehicles that morning.
Eric Violette, 33, of 100 Lake St., Apt. D, also was charged with a loitering and prowling violation, police said. The receiving stolen property charges were upgraded to Class B felonies after police who arrested him about 3:20 p.m. discovered he had two earlier theft convictions, according to a release.
Police said Violette matched the description of the person who committed the mornign thefts and that he had several items reported stolen in his possession.
Violette was being held in the Valley Street jail in Manchester on $5,000 cash bail, pending arraignment Monday in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.
