LONDONDERRY — Londonderry officials announced that trick-or-treating this year will be on Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Londonderry Police Department has recommended parents escort young children and carry a flashlight, even in familiar neighborhoods. Officers recommend trick-or-treaters not go out by themselves and always safely walk in the direction facing traffic.
Police say only to trick-or-treat at residences where lights are on so children know it is OK to visit, and remind children never to approach a vehicle where someone is offering candy.
Motorists are also reminded to drive cautiously on Oct. 31 and watch for children walking, running or darting between parked vehicles.
