College Roundup: Dartmouth football edges Holy Cross

The Dartmouth College football team improved to 2-0 with a 27-26 victory against 25th-ranked Holy Cross on Saturday night.
Jeremiah Douchee blocked a PAT attempt to force overtime and teammate Jake Moen broke up a two-point conversion in overtime to seal the win for Dartmouth..
Dartmouth scored on its overtime possession as tight end Stephen Johnston had a 10-yard touchdown catch.
Holy Cross (2-2) also scored on its overtime possession, but opted to go for two points and the win. Moen made a hit on the conversion try and Danny McManus helped make the stop for the win.
Holy Cross scored on the final play of regulation to tie the game at 20-20, before Douchee blocked what would have been the game-winning PAT.
Dartmouth quarterback Jack Heneghan was 18-of-25 for 147 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior Ryder Stone had 17 carries for 106 yards and a 44-yard touchdown run for Dartmouth, becoming the 28th player in school history to run for 1,000 yards.
UNH 2, Binghamton 1: Sophomore Liz Lane assisted on two goals and fellow sophomore Kaylan Williams scored a late go-ahead goal as the Wildcats opened up their America East schedule.
Lane assisted both Williams on her third goal of the season and also the first goal of the game, a rebound by junior Gaby Dorsey for her second goal of the season. Lane now has three assists on the season.
Brown 1, Dartmouth 0 (OT): At Providence, R.I., Brown’s Star White scored the game’s lone goal in overtime for the win.
The Big Green fall to 4-5-0 on the year and 0-1-0 in conference play. Brown is 8-2-0, 1-0-0 in the Ivy League.
