CHAD NAGY

MANCHESTER — Police have arrested an 18-year-old city man wanted in a stabbing incident Friday at Mr. Market's convenience store on Spruce Street.

Chad Nagy turned himself in to police Monday night on a charge of first-degree assault, police said. He also was charged with falsifying physical evidence and with violation of bail, police said.

Nagy is accused of stabbing a man during a fight at the store, located at Spruce and Lincoln streets. Witnesses told police Nagy displayed a knife during a fight outside a residence near the market, police said.

Nagy was chased from the residence to the store and when pursuers attempted to keep him inside the store by holding the door closed, police said Nagy was able to escape and stabbed another man in the left forearm.

In March, Nagy was charged with resisting arrest after police said they spotted four people riding in a stolen BMW.

According to police, the car had been reported stolen in a burglary at 180 Bridge St., in which two knives valued at $300 and a $250 Seiko watch were stolen, along with the keys to a 2010 BMW 5 series car.

Police said Sgt. Robert Gravelle saw the car traveling on Union Street near Auburn Street about 5:50 p.m. on March 12, and when he tried to stop it the occupants fled at Green and Beech streets. In that incident, Nagy was arrested behind Cremeland on Valley Street.
