PORTSMOUTH - Police are looking for a man who used a gun to rob an employee at the Lafayette Road McDonald's early Friday.

According to a release, the employee had just closed the 1000 Lafayette Road restaurant when a man approached with a gun, pointed it at the employee, and demanded to be let into the restaurant. Police said the man was unable to get in, taking personal belongings from the employee instead before running away.

The man is described by police as black, about 6 feet tall with skiny build, wearing a black ski mask and all black clothing. Police believe he arrived and fled on foot.

The McDonald's employee was not injured, police said. A K9 search for the man came up empty.

Police ask anyone with information concerning the armed robbery to contact Det. Duane Jacques at 610-7535, or anonymously by calling Seacoast Crime Stoppers at 431-1199, or at www.seacoastcrimestoppers.com.
