NH jobless rate is 2.7 percent

CONCORD — The state’s unemployment rate for September stands at 2.7 percent, unchanged from August.
New Hampshire saw 730,130 employed residents in September, a decrease of 1,820 from the previous month and an increase of 700 from September 2016.
The number of unemployed residents increased by 40 over-the-month to 20,060, but there were 1,100 fewer unemployed than in September 2016.
From August to September, the total labor force decreased by 1,780 to 750,190.
Nationally, the unemployment rate for September as 4.2 percent, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points from the August rate, and a decrease of 0.7 percentage points from the September 2016 rate.
