NHIAA Roundup: Memorial boys prevail; Merrimack girls win

Three players found the back of the net to lift the Manchester Memorial boys’ soccer team to a 3-0 triumph at Merrimack on Thursday in the regular-season finale for both teams.
Anthony Rivera scored the lone goal of the first half to give the Crusaders (6-8-2) a 1-0 halftime advantage. Teammates Jordan Trombly and Rodrigo Rodriguez both tallied goals of their own in the second half. Connor Page made seven saves for Memorial. Josh Knauer made seven saves for Merrimack (3-13).
Memorial will now wait to see which seed it will be in the Division I tournament.
Pembroke 3, Souhegan 0: In Pembroke, the Spartans had a 2-0 lead 13 minutes into the game off an own goal by Souhegan of Amherst and a tally by Damon Smith. Connor Manteau capped the game’s scoring in the 53rd minute.
Tyler Smith made three saves and Patrick Chase logged an assist for Pembroke (14-1-1). Matt Greany made 14 saves for the Sabers (7-7).
Manchester Central 1, Timberlane 0: The Little Green scored in the 61st minute. Connor Newman had 13 saves for Timberlane (8-7-1). Central is 11-4-1.
Windham 6, Goffstown 1: In Goffstown, Kyle Cocciardi logged a goal and three assists to help Windham cap its regular-season campaign with a 15-1 mark.
Teammate Zac Colvin tallied a goal and two assists. Goffstown finished the regular season with a 7-7-1 record.
Merrimack 2, Manchester Memorial 1: In Manchester, Abby Morgan assisted on teammate Riley Streeper’s goal and scored one of her own for Merrimack (5-11).
Caitlin Moran made six saves for the Tomahawks. Memorial finished the season with a 4-11-1 record.
Londonderry 5, Nashua North 1: In Nashua, five players scored as the Lancers prepped for the Division I tournament. Darby Dupuis, Halle Hamilton, Gwen Barnes, Olivia Stowell and Olivia Galluzzo scored for Londonderry (10-6). Goalie Jasmine Richard made two saves for Londonderry.
Emilee DeLeo scored for North.
Gilford 2, Pembroke 0: In Gilford, the Golden Eagles received second-half goals from Laurel Gingrich and Bri Salanitro to advance to the quarterfinals of the Division III tournament.
Gingrich tallied her goal about 10 minutes into the second half to open the game’s scoring. Salanitro scored with just a few minutes remaining to clinch the victory for fourth-seeded Gilford (12-2-1).
Josie Stotlar logged 12 saves for No. 13 seed Pembroke Academy (5-10).
Epping 3, Nute 0: In Epping on Wednesday, Epping won, 25-12, 25-19, 25-21 to cap its regular season with a 10-6 record. Marissa Adams logged five aces, four kills and seven digs while teammate Anna Re added two aces, 12 kills and eight digs for the Blue Devils. Hayley Pelletier had four kills and 11 digs for Epping. Nute is 7-8.
Nashua North 3, Londonderry 0: In Nashua on Wednesday, the Titans won, 25-22, 25-22, 25-7, improving to 6-10. Maddie Sanborn logged 10 kills and Anna Haas registered 16 assists for Londonderry (6-12). Sanborn and Britney Clark tallied eight digs for the Lancers.
