The 2017 Granite State Baseball Dinner is set to turn back the clock to the fall of 1975 with its assembly of baseball personalities. The annual dinner, which will be held Nov. 18 at 5 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel Expo Center in Manchester, will feature five participants from the epic 1975 World Series between the Boston Red Sox and the Cincinnati Reds.
Former Reds second baseman and Hall of Famer Tony Perez highlights the group, which also includes former Red Sox Bill Lee, Rico Petrocelli, Bernie Carbo and Luis Tiant. Also in attendance will be former Cy Young Award winner Chris Carpenter, of Bedford, former Red Sox pitchers Dennis "Oil Can" Boyd and Bob Stanley, and former major leaguer and Manchester West High alum Greg LaRocca.
Tickets for the event are $80 and can be purchased at the New Hampshire Fisher Cats box office, on the Fisher Cats website or by calling 641-2005. Doors to the event open at 5 p.m. with a two-hour silent auction and autograph session. The dinner and evening’s program begins at 7 p.m.
