Londonderry's Rotary Club preps for Christmas on the Commons

November 16. 2017 3:03AM

LONDONDERRY — The Rotary Club of Londonderry will hold its annual Christmas Trees on the Commons, a seasonal celebration for the community, beginning at 3 p.m. on Dec. 3.

This holiday tradition will include refreshments — hot cider, cocoa, chili and cookies — before the official tree lighting.

At 4 p.m., Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive to the shindig with their elf on a Londonderry Fire Department vehicle.

Children will have the opportunity to take their picture with Santa. The club said guests will sing Christmas carols, led by the Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts in town, around the fire pit on the town common.

Rotarians are inviting youth groups to decorate a tree to continue the holiday fun.

For more information or if a youth group is interested in decorating a tree this year, residents are asked to contact Faye Sell at 434-4989.
