Hudson residents in need can request Thanksgiving dinner

Hudson VFW Post 5791

HUDSON — Hudson Post 5791 recently received a most welcome request for the use of its hall.

A group of volunteers who usually help with the Thanksgiving dinner project at the Hudson Fish and Game Club asked if they could use the Post facilities to mount a similar event. The Hudson Fish and Game event was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, and some of the volunteers from that event decided to do a smaller version for the residents of Hudson who might not otherwise have a turkey dinner this year.

Hudson residents Angela Roustis and Mike Molkentine have enough food and volunteers for the project, but what they don’t have is a list of people who need the dinners.

Their first priority is to feed seniors and others in need in Hudson. If you are a Hudson area resident, you will be placed on the list until it is filled. If you live outside Hudson and the towns that border it, you will be placed on a waiting list and any available dinners will be confirmed by Tuesday, Nov. 21. Only those non-Hudson-area residents who receive a callback by that date should expect a dinner to be delivered.

Anyone who would like one of the turkey dinners should call (603) 508-1561 as soon as possible.
