EPPING — A New Hampshire attorney’s run on the television quiz show ‘Jeopardy!’ this week ended on a wrong note Tuesday night, after incorrectly answering a music-related question.
Eric Maher of Epping, an attorney with the New Hampshire law firm of Donahue, Tucker & Ciandella, defeated returning ‘Jeopardy!’ champion Kara Chandler Monday night by correctly answering the “Final Jeopardy!” clue, “She declared, ‘By blood, I am Albanian … as to my calling, I belong to the world.’”
The correct answer was, “Who is Mother Teresa (Saint Teresa of Calcutta)?” Maher won $31,500 Monday night, finishing in first place.
Maher returned for Tuesday night’s episode, where he placed second with $2,000.
Maher gave the wrong answer to Tuesday’s ‘Final Jeopardy!’ clue, “Hailed as the ‘Greatest Album of All Time’ in 2017 it returned to the top of the charts 50 years after its first release.”
Maher answered, “What is ‘The Wall?’” by Pink Floyd. The correct answer was, “What is ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band?’” by the Beatles.
