Fundraiser to be held for McDonald's manager displaced by fire

GOFFSTOWN — A fundraiser will be held tonight in Goffstown for a McDonald’s manager displaced by a Thanksgiving Day fire in Manchester.

A total of five families and nine people were displaced by a fire at 165 W. Hancock St. in Manchester. Fire officials believe the fire was caused by careless disposal of smoking materials.

Jessica Caez, manager of the Goffstown McDonald’s, said she had just moved into her new apartment 10 days earlier, and when she came home Thanksgiving night she realized that she had lost everything.

To help Caez, her coworkers at the Goffstown McDonald’s at 569 Mast Road will hold a fundraiser in-restaurant on Dec. 6 from 4 to 7 p.m., with 50 percent of the proceeds raised going directly to Caez.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle onsite to raise additional funds.

A GoFundme page has also been set up at www.gofundme.com/ap4gkt-apartment-building-fire.
