NHIAA Roundup: Riviere scores four goals as Pinkerton tops North/Souhegan

Ty Riviere scored four goals to lead Pinkerton, which received four saves from Dakota Robinson, to an 11-0 win over Nashua North/Souhegan on Wednesday in Nashua. Patrick Hare added two goals for Pinkerton, Sophomore Joseph Marra and junior Connor Trask each collected his first varsity goal.

Kennett 3, Somersworth/Coe-Brown 1: Michael Seavey scored twice as Kennett High opened its season with a win at Rochester Ice Arena.

Seavey handed the Eagles a 2-0 lead in the second period, and then capped the scoring in the third. Caleb McPherson also scored for Kennett, which received 10 saves from John Biggio.

Cam Frank scored for Somersworth/Coe-Brown, which was also playing its first game. Colby Couture and Trevor LaRusso assisted on the goal. Cal Welch stopped 35 shots for Somersworth/Coe-Brown.

St. Thomas 5, Keene 2: In Keene, Paddy Vetter scored twice and also collected two assists for the Saints. Matt MacLean, Mikey Somerset and Jojo Grella (empty net) also scored for St. Thomas, which led 3-2 entering the third. St. Thomas goalie Chris Eno made 34 saves.

Hanover 4, Londonderry 1: In Hooksett, David Lehmann scored two goals and Elias Zinman and Joseph Gioff (empty net) also scored as the Marauders prevailed in the season-opener for both teams. Anthony Federico scored Londonderry’s goal. Hanover led 2-0 after two periods. Hanover goalie Harris LaRock made 18 saves, to 26 for Lancers goalie Cam Donovan.

Windham 6, Lebanon 0: In Lebanon, goals by Matt Taylor, Phil Tsoukalas, Jack Flanagan, Alek Tunik and Mike Blaschuck helped Windham prevail. Freshman goaltender Hunter Robb made 15 saves for Lebanon after entering the game midway through the second period.

ConVal/Conant 2, Hollis/Brookline-Derryfield 1: In Winchendon, Mass., William Mancini and Alec MacEachen scored for the Warriors. Aidan Kirby collected the ConVal/Conant goal.

Boys’ basketball

Moultonborough 72, Gorham 45: In Gorham, senior guard/forward Reese Swedberg collected a game-high 29 points and 14 rebounds to help Moultonborough improve its Division IV record to 2-0. Owen Gunderson and Joey McClay each tossed in 10 for the Panthers, who received eight rebounds from Ryan Morin. Anthony Frisk led Gorham (0-1) with 11.

Derryfield 77, Wilton 67: At Derryfield, Jake Levert led all scorers with 20 points but the Warriors fell to the Cougars, who received 18 points from Andrew Dubreuil to improve their record to 2-0. Wilton fell to 0-2.

Derryfield’s Cody Bournival scored 17 points and Max Kartawich had 13.

Campbell 81, Raymond 45: In Raymond, the Cougars (1-0) pulled away by outscoring the (0-2) 33-13 in the fourth quarter. Jonah Crema (19) and Jake Scafidi (13) led Campbell.

Girls’ basketball

Pelham 58, Goffstown 53: In Goffstown, the Grizzlies droppped to 0-2 despite a 24-point performance from Livi Brannen, who tossed in four 3-pointers. Goffstown received 12 points from Cami Durham and 10 from Kelly Walsh.

Olivia Gagnon scored a team-high 20 for Pelham (2-0). Danielle Sirois, who has committed to Southern New Hampshire, added 18 for the Pythons.
