KEENE — A 40-year-old Lamson Street man faces a first-degree assault charge after police accused him in a stabbing at a Marlboro Street residence early Thursday.

Police were called to a disturbance at 36 Marlboro St. about 1:15 a.m., according to a release, where they found Jermaine McDay, 26, suffering from stab wounds on his hand, arm and chest and Randall Reed, 40, suffering from injuries suffered when others kept him at the address for police.

McDay and Reed were taken to the hospital for treatment, police said.

Reed was arrested on the felony assault charge when he was released from Cheshire Medical Center Thursday afternoon, accused of repeatedly stabbing McDay. In lieu of bail he was held in the Cheshire County jail, with arraignment scheduled Friday afternoon.

Police said the incident remains under investigation and ask anyone with information to call Detective Steven Lamears at 357-9820.
