NH Colleges: Mixed results for UNH men's teams

Yale's hockey team scored three straight goals in the third period to break a tie and beat the University of New Hampshire 4-2 on Saturday in the Ledyard Classic at Dartmouth's Thompson Arena.
Dante Paleeco scored at 10:22 of the period to give the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead. Evan Smith made it 3-1 at 11:10 and Paleeco scored into an empty net at 17:24. UNH's Richard Boyd scored the game's final goal at 17:50.
Frankie Cefalu also scored for UNH, on a power play in the first period.
UNH goalie Danny Tirone made 37 saves, to 31 for Yale's Corbin Kaczperski.
The Wildcats, who lost to Dartmouth on Friday, went 0-2 in the tournament and dropped to 9-9-1 overall. They have lost four straight, all non-leaguers. UNH had beaten Yale 4-0 on Nov. 25 in New Haven, Conn.
Dartmouth played Minnesota-Duluth on Saturday night for the Ledyard tourney title.
UNH 83, Dartmouth 66: Senior Tanner Leissner poured in 32 points - four short of his career high - as the Wildcats handled the Big Green at Lundholm Gym in the meeting of the state's two Division I teams.
Leissner was 9-for-16 from the field (4-for-4 from 3-point land) and 10-for-14 from the foul line. He also had eight rebounds. Jacoby Armstrong added 21 points as UNH opened a 15-point halftime lead and cruised from there, improving to 4-10 overall.
Dartmouth (4-7) was led by Miles Wright's 14 points. Dublin's Ian Sistare added 10 points off the bench.
St. Anselm 90, Post 66: In Goffstown, Taylor Fortin poured in a game-high 22 points as the Hawks rolled in the non-league game. Chris Paul (15 points), Tim Guers (14) and Gustav Suhr-Jessen (13) also hit double-figures for St. Anselm (9-3).
Florida Southern 74, SNHU 71: In Lakeland, Fla., the Penmen rallied from a 17-point halftime deficit to tie the game 71-71 on Daquaise Andrews' layup with 33 seconds remaining, but a layup by Ben Marello broke the tie with 22 seconds left and the hosts held on from there.
Andrews finished with a game-high 25 points, and Chris Walters and Dimitri Floras of Merrimack hit for 16 each.
SNHU dropped to 9-2.
Ohio Northern 88, Keene State 75: Dizel Wright and Ty Nichols scored 18 points apiece for the Owls in their loss at the Music City Classic in Nashville. KSC is 8-3.
Scranton 72, Keene State 45: Emily McPadden's 20 points paced KSC in its loss to No. 20 Scranton in the Music City Classic in Nashville. The Owls are 2-9.
Albany 76, Dartmouth 61: In Albany, N.Y., the Big Green dropped to 8-4 despite 15 points from Cy Lippold.
SNHU 73, Bridgeport 49: In Manchester, Kylie Lorenzen's 17 points paced SNHU in the non-leaguer. The Penmen improved to 9-4.
Roberts Wesleyan 82, St. Anselm 68: The Hawks dropped to 8-5 with the non-league loss in Goffstown. St. Anselm's Shannon Ryan scored 16 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
UNH 48, Cornell 45: On Friday in Durham, senior forwards Olivia Healy and Kat Fogarty scored 16 and 15 points, respectively, as the Wildcats improved to 9-4 overall.
