Students at Bedford’s McKelvie Intermediate School are showing the world just how much they know about business, the global economy and investing. Sixth-graders Natalie Denon, Gabriella El Chalfoun, Maggie Roberts and Nicholas Boucher are the winners of the SIFMA Foundation’s fall session Stock Market Game in the statewide middle school division.

The students competed against over 100 middle school teams across the state as their investing strategies earned their hypothetical $100,000 portfolio the greatest return.

The game combines content knowledge critical thinking, research and analytical skills in a real-world online simulation.

Students develop life skills such as financial preparedness, teamwork and business knowledge and learn the fundamentals of long-term savings and investing.

The program is part of the New Hampshire Union Leader’s Newspapers in Education program.

The students will be honored for their achievement at Fidelity Investments in Merrimack in May.
