College Roundup: Spillane’s two goals lead St. Anselm women

Kaitlyn Spillane collected two goals and an assist, and Kaley Campbell and Katy Meehan each picked up a goal and an assist as St. Anselm (11-1-1) extended its road unbeaten streak to 21 games with a 4-2 win over Manhattanville in women’s hockey play Wednesday night in Rye, N.Y.
One day after making 30 saves in a 1-0 victory over No. 8/9 Connecticut College, junior goaltender Maddie Scavotto posted 20 saves to improve to 8-1-1 on the season. Rose Pijaca made 27 stops for Manhattanville.
Keene State 88, Western Connecticut 67: At Danbury, Conn., center James Anozie scored a game-high 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Owls.
Vermont 91, Dartmouth 78: In Hanover, Trae Bell-Haynes tossed in a game-high 27 points and Payton Henson finished with 20 to lead Vermont (12-5) to a non-conference victory. Dartmouth (4-9) had four players score in double figures: Taylor Johnson (17), Chris Knight (14), Brendan Barry (13) and Will Emery (10).
UMass-Boston 68, Plymouth State 53: In Plymouth, Nashua’s Mike Osgood (22) and Manchester’s Jaylen Leroy (18) were Plymouth State’s leading scorers. UMass-Boston improved to 8-6 overall and 2-2 in the LEC.
UNH 63, Binghamton 61: In Binghamton, N.Y., senior guard Brittani Lai made a layup at the buzzer to hand the Wildcats (11-5, 2-1 America East) the victory. Olivia Healy led UNH with 23 points and 11 rebounds, and Kat Fogarty finished with 14 points. Binghamton (10-5, 1-1) led 28-27 at halftime and 49-46 entering the fourth.
Western Conn. St. 76, Keene State 65: In Danbury, Conn., Emily McPadden led the Owls with 19 points and nine rebounds. Keene State received 14 points and 13 rebounds from forward Jordyn Burke.
UMass Boston 77, Plymouth State 54: At Plymouth, Debra Morrill of Concord poured in a career-high 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting, but PSU fell to 4-9 (0-4 Little East). Jess Conant finished with 14 points, three rebounds and a pair of assists, while Brittany Roche of Londonderry adding 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc.
Pace 84, Franklin Pierce 54: At Pleasantville, N.Y., Kelsey Mayo and Mya Mosley dropped nine points each for the Ravens while three other players added eight points apiece as the Ravens fell to lost their 10th contest of the season and eighth league match.
