A former assistant coach for the Bishop Guertin football team is coming back as the Cardinals’ head coach.

John Trisciani, who served as an assistant at BG for the 2014-16 seasons, was named head man on Friday. He replaces Jeff Moore, whose team went 13-16 in his three years at the helm, including 1-8 last fall.

Trisciani brings nearly 10 years of coaching experience. In addition to his time at BG, he has coached on the staff at Londonderry High School, Goffstown High School, and Manchester Memorial, most recently serving as offensive coordinator and line coach at Memorial during the 2017 season.

“I am honored to be given the opportunity to lead BG’s football program,” said Trisciani. “There is a rich football tradition at Bishop Guertin and I look forward to continuing the pride and excellence that the program has offered to players, coaches, alumni, and the entire community over the years. I am committed to providing our student-athletes with an outstanding experience.”
