Nashua man charged in domestic violence assault

NASHUA — A city man faces assault charges after being arrested in a domestic violence incident Sunday night.
Jonathan Coffin, 55, of 47 Temple St., is accused of causing injuries to a person he knew shortly before 7 p.m. at an undisclosed address, police said in a news release Monday.
Police did not provide any details about the person Coffin is accused of assaulting. The news release stated Coffin caused non-life-threatening injuries that were treated at a local medical facility.
Coffin was charged with second-degree assault-domestic violence, a Class B felony, as well as misdemeanor counts of simple assault-domestic violence and simple assault, police said.
Coffin was being held on $5,000 cash bail and was scheduled to be arraigned today in Hillsborough County Superior Court-South.
