College Roundup: UNH women roar back, hammer UMass Lowell

The UNH women’s basketball team, which trailed by three points at halftime and eight early in the second half, roared back and blew out UMass Lowell 66-45 on Monday in an America East Conference game at Lundholm Gym.
The Wildcats, 3-1 in the conference and 12-5 overall, were led by senior center Carlie Pogue and senior forward Olivia Healy, both of whom played their best in the second half. Pogue scored 13 of her 15 points in the second half, Healy 11 of her 13 in the final two quarters.
Senior guard Brittnai Lai scored 11 points and added nine assists for UNH, which plays next at Vermont on Thursday night.
Lowell is 3-14 overall, 0-4 in the league.
Colby-Sawyer 65, Plymouth State 42: In New London, Sunapee’s Lexie Hamilton had a triple-double of 18 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds, leading the Chargers.
Colby-Sawyer (11-3) stays at home today for a 5:30 p.m. game against Green Mountain. Plymouth State, which received 18 points from Jess Conant and eight points and 11 rebounds from Concord’s Cassidy Emerson, fell to 5-10.
