SALEM — A Lowell, Mass., man is facing drug and forgery charges after police pulled over a car they said was driving erratically on I-93 early Tuesday.
Richard Caraballo, Jr., 24, was charged with possession of a controlled drug, transportation of drugs and two counts of forgery, police said.
Police stopped Caraballo about 1:30 a.m. on I-93 South and said they saw signs of drug use.
Caraballo gave officers permission to search the car, police said and they found several counterfeit $100 dollar bills marked “Motion Picture Use Only” with the same serial number as well as one large and three small baggies of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine. In total, the four bags weighed more than 28 grams, police said.
Carabello was held without bail in the Rockingham County jail and was arraigned in Rockingham County Superior Court Tuesday.
